Tidy Towns

Port Blandford Tidy Towns judging took place on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. The judges for the day were Pamela and Dave Hoddinott. At 10 a.m. Sherry Harris and Deneen Chatman took Pamela and Dave on the tour of the town starting in Southwest and ended at the Town Hall around 12:30 p.m., where a light lunch was provided. It was an enjoyable day.

The Town had a best decorated garbage box contest which Pamela and Dave judged at the end of the day and emailed the Town later announcing the winners. The winners were: 1st place - Jane Perry; 2nd place - Marilyn Hann & 3,d place - Lori Hann. Thanks to everyone that participated in the contest.

The judges gave lots of comments and suggestions that we need to improve on at the end of the evaluation. Hopefully for next year's Tidy Towns Competition, we will be able to incorporate some of their suggestions and improve on the areas that they mentioned. Thank you Pamela and Dave.
