Come and see a flock of Canada Geese as they return for the season or a Bald Eagle soaring high above. Pick some "pussy willows" as they bloom and enjoy a walk as nature comes to life. See the animals preparing for the birth of their young.
Come and feel the warm fresh breezes, and soft gentle rains as the trees start to bud, the sun gets warmer, the days get longer, and the ice breaks -- all combining to gradually melt away the snow.

As the ice starts to break up into large pans, try ice pan-jumping if you're adventurous enough. Just ask any local, they'll tell you its harder than it sounds or looks.
Lace up those hiking boots because Spring time is one of the best seasons for hiking in our neck of the woods. Explore the T'railway, Eagle Creek Trail, or the back country.
Many migratory birds are coming home for the warmer season. Have a look around our community and you will find a flock of Canada Geese for sure.
Many anglers long for the warmer days of Spring when the fishing season opens in May. Grab a rod, bait and a license and head to the many, ponds, lakes, streams and brooks in the area. Take a day trip down the Discovery Trail to Bonavista and experience the natural wonder of an iceberg in the Bay.
Watch a sunrise when the ground may be covered in a light layer of sparkling frost as the risk of slight frost continues until late May.
Play a round of golf at Twin Rivers or Eagle Creek Golf Courses in late May or early June when these spectacular courses open for another season.
Enjoy a Victoria Weekend or "May 24th Weekend" camping adventure as many Newfoundlanders head out camping regardless of the varying weather conditions of Spring Time. Celebrate the coming of warmer weather!
